Applications are open now and will close 25th March 2025.
This programme will be of particular interest to those interested in pursuing a career in the aviation industry, more specifically within Engineering and Maintenance departments.
We are thrilled to be providing a select number of candidates with an unmissable opportunity at Ireland’s newest regional airline. In total, we are looking for 6 candidates to partake in this year’s intake. The Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance Apprenticeship is carried out in collaboration with SOLAS, Ireland’s Further Education and Training Authority and Technological University Dublin.
With a combined approach of classroom and hands-on experience, those who successfully complete the apprenticeship will be considered for full-time positions at Emerald Airlines. Successful applicants will split their time between classroom training in both Shannon and Dublin, and on-the-job training at the Emerald Airlines Engineering and Maintenance Facility at Dublin Airport or Belfast City Airport. Throughout their time as an Emerald Airlines apprentice, those successful will complete academic studies at both Shannon Aviation School & TUD, while also gaining practical work experience at the Emerald Airlines Hangar Facilities.
Leaving cert or PLC in relevant discipline, or equivalent
Applicants must be 18 years of age
Have a keen mechanical and technical interest
A commitment to a 4 year apprenticeship program
An aptitude test
An interview
