The Role

 

This role holds a key position within Emerald Airlines’ regulatory compliance and safety management framework, with responsibility for ensuring the continued compliance and effectiveness of the organisation’s CAMO, Part 145 and UK Part 145 approvals. As a Nominated Postholder and Compliance Monitoring Manager, the role provides independent oversight of regulatory compliance, safety performance and quality standards across the relevant organisations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Nominated postholder for Emerald Airlines Ireland CAMO Approval, Part 145 Approval and UK Part 145 Approval IAW regulatory and company requirements.

  • Establish an independent audit system to monitor compliance with EASA / UK CAA requirements, and that an audit plan is properly implemented, maintained, and continually reviewed and improved;

  • Accomplish scheduled audits of all Part 145 & CAMO activities in accordance with the IAA / UK CAA Annual Audit Plan.

  • Management of internal and external occurrence reporting system within the CAMO & P145 organisations including processing of reports, review of safety occurrences, risk assessments and safety investigations.

  • Responsible for issuing and renewing P145 Engineers company authorisations (PACs).

  • Preparation of reports to support SAG and SSCRB meetings.

  • Monitor the implementation of any safety recommendations as identified by Audits, hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA) or incident reports. Follow up and processing of action items with hazard owners as a result of the HIRA process.

  • Develop and review the CAME / MOE manuals, audit checklists, and the audit plan to keep abreast of amended regulations and maintain best practice and efficiencies.

  • Liaison with the Competent Authority, or other third parties, to facilitate external audits or queries.

  • Act as Compliance Monitoring Manager IAW Part IS regulatory requirements.

  • Assessing providers of materials, standard parts, components and contracted organisations for satisfactory product quality in relation to the needs of the organisation.

  • Approval of maintenance away from base requests and notification to the Authority.

  • Provide regular updates to the Accountable Manager.

 

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 years’ experience in Compliance and Safety roles within an aviation maintenance or airline environment.

  • Lead projects and act as the focal point of contact in the P145 and CAMO organisations for Compliance and Safety matters.

  • Be the holder of an EASA type rated Part 66 licence or relevant Aeronautical degree.

  • Knowledge of applicable EASA / UK CAA P145 145 regulations, CAMO regulation.

  • Knowledge of IOSA Standards and recommended practices.

  • Knowledge and experience of auditing techniques – Planning, conducting, analysing, and reporting. Compilation of final audit reports and processing of any resulting corrective/preventive actions.

  • Knowledge of safety management systems including safety risks linked to working within an aviation environment, including associated human factors and performance limitations.

  • Ability to identify and make recommendations to rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions.

  • Strong organisational, investigative and IT skills.

  • Aviation Auditor Training.

  • Safety Management Systems Training.
